Mobile Banking (also referred to as 'Text Banking') services allow you to stay updated on your banking transactions. You can choose to send an SMS to the bank to check your account balance and account history.
Through the Mobile Alerts service, you can receive SMS alerts for select banking transactions, SMS reminders for your payment due dates and term deposit maturity dates, and even your mini statement.. All this is FREE. In order to register for Mobile banking and Alerts service, you need to follow the steps below
Register your mobile number to enable Text Banking and Mobile Alerts services. Once you register your mobile number, your account is automatically enabled for Text banking and Mobile Alerts both.
Manage Text Banking - If you wish to Disable/ Enable Text Banking on the registered mobile number, please click 'Manage text Banking' and select the OFF/ ON status.
Manage Alerts - Schedule Mobile Alerts for your account, specify the delivery preferences and define the alert triggers.
Edit nicknames - When you register for Text Banking, you can allocate a nickname for each account. You may change this nickname at the time of registration or at a later date through this option. Nicknames are case sensitive.
Once you register for Mobile Banking, you can send messages to the bank,in the following format, to check your account balance and history.
Balance Enquiry - SMS 'BAL'(space) 'account nickname' to 919611124722
Mini Statement - SMS 'HIST' (space) 'account nickname' to 919611124722

Step 1: Select the country of your residence.
Step 2: Enter your ten digit mobile number.
Step 3: Validate your mobile number by re-entering it.
Step 4: Click 'Continue' to proceed or 'Cancel' to go back to the 'Summary' page
Help:
Nicknames are used in Mobile Banking as a way of reference to your accounts. The nicknames allotted by the bank are displayed here. Nicknames should be used while checking your account
balance and history with the bank through Mobile Banking. Nicknames are case
sensitive.
To change the nickname,
please type a unique nickname in the appropriate field between 1-6 characters
long.

Click 'Select Alerts' to view the details of the Mobile Alerts available for the account, and edit your delivery preferences and Mobile Alerts triggers.
Alert Delivery Preferences:

Through this section,you can setup the delivery preferences for Mobile Alerts
You can choose to suspend Mobile Alerts for a specified period of time by selecting OFF from the delivery section and specifying the period within which you do not want to receive the Mobile Alerts.
You may select additional messages that you wish to receive such as Service messages and Birthday greetings.
You can choose the time of delivery for the Mobile Alerts. Please specify the time period between which you would like to receive Mobile Alerts.

Through this section,you can define the triggers for which you would like to receive an alert
Credit notification -An alert will be sent every time there is a credit into your account above the amount specified by you.
Debit notification-An alert will be sent every time there is a debit from your account above the amount specified by you.
Balance notification-Alerts will be sent every time the account balance goes above or below the limits specified by you.
Weekly mini-statement- Please select the weekday on which you would like to receive the weekly mini-statement.
Monthly mini-statement- Please select the monthly date on which you would like to receive the monthly mini-statement

An Alert will be send to you before the number of days defined by you, with respect to the maturity of your fixed deposit account. You have to define the number of '1 Days of prior notice.'
Once you have entered the days of prior notice. Click '2 Update Alerts' to submit the request or else click '3 cancel'.
